Kale Smoothie Recipe for Kids

If you've ever wished you could try a kale smoothie on YOUR children... hesitate no longer. This drink is simple, sweet and incredibly delicious. Your children will love the smooth texture (it's a smoothie, after all!) and they'll devour the high nutrition found naturally in the greens. Who needs processed junk food and packaged breakfasts? Give them a kale smoothie and they'll be energized all morning (or afternoon... or evening!).

4 cups milk of your choice
2 handfuls of berries, your choice (strawberries, blueberries - whatever you can find frozen at your grocery or in season)
3 frozen bananas
1/8 cup honey or agave nectar
2 large handfuls frozen organic kale

Blend the heck out of it all for at least 45 seconds. You don't want a trace of those leaves showing! Kale is an incredibly nutritional food... the 5-a-day your child needs is packed in this drink.

Serves: a couple of kids or more

Remember, children crave nutrition-rich food that's sweet... their bodies know deep down inside that this food is helping them grow. Sugary sweets and processed food, on the other hand, are detrimental to their health - and their little bodies know that. Feed them what they crave and live in good health!
