Smoothie Recipe Tips

If you're wondering how to make smoothies, you'll find that they're easy and very fast! There is a little preparation that will make delicious smoothies that are incredibly healthy.

The first tip I have is to show you how to freeze fruit. The second tip I have is about buying the right blender and, lastly, here's how to create your best personal smoothie!

Here's a list of basic smoothie ingredients that will give you some ideas for creating delicious smoothies for breakfast, lunch, dinner or parties.

Of course, everyone has their own techniques, tricks and habits about making smoothies. I tend to be a thrower - I just toss a handful of that and a dollop of this and pour a liquid in for as long as it seems appropriate. Some of you might be recipe followers who measure fruit and other ingredients exactly. Whichever way you go, remember that smoothies rarely taste bad, since they don't usually have spices that you can accidentally overdo. After all, if you add too many strawberries, you can't go wrong, right?

If you've already got the hang of making smoothies but you want information about blenders, please visit my page about buying the right blender. so you can get the information you need about the essential ingredient for a great smoothie: a great machine to mush it all up for you!

I personally love spooning a very cold smoothie (similar to ice cream in its consistency) into a room temperature glass. The sides of the smoothie melt ever so slightly for a yummy texture variety. But if you like consistent texture... leave your glass in the freezer while you're preparing your smoothie. It'll be cold, cold, cold!

A great way to clean your blender is to just pour water in it with a couple of drops (no more than 2 drops!) of dish washing liquid and press "blend." Here's a video from Vita-Mix about that very topic:

Lastly, buy yourself a few big glasses to enjoy your smoothies... and some fun glasses for the kids. Special cups for smoothies makes the experience even more fun!
